On April 26, 2024, the world lost a remarkable soul in Hanover, Maryland. Monica Jackson, born on November 17, 1966, lived a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
Monica was a loving mother to three children, Jeffrey Rice, Jr., Ivan McNab, and Jordan Jackson. She also leaves behind a precious grandchild, who brought endless joy into her life.
Monica attended Western High School and graduated in 1984. She went on to have a successful career at Homeland Security, where she made a lasting impact on those around her with her dedication and professionalism.
Outside of her work, Monica had a passion for music and travel. She could often be found dancing to her favorite tunes or planning her next exciting trip to a far-off destination.
Monica's vibrant spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be remembered for her kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering strength.
Though she may no longer walk among us, Monica's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her. May she rest in peace, free from pain and suffering, as she watches over her family from above.

We lost an awesome neighbor here in Hanover. Monica was one of the 3 African-American women who started the Exeter Park 1 HOA, along with myself and Stephanie. When Stephanie and I stepped down, Monica continued serving. Monica was such a blessing to have as a neighbor. She always tried to help out when it was needed. If she couldn't help she would recruit others. She saved the day for me so many times, starting with letting me know how great a sitter her daughter Jordan is, who is absolutely one of the best! She even recruited her son to help with a Santa Claus delivery issue. I can't imagine the neighborhood without her, such a tremendous loss. I will miss her dearly.
