Monique D. MartinezNovember 11, 1986 - December 25, 2016El Paso, TexasOur beloved Monique passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 25, 2016 after a battle against cancer. Monique had been a resident of El Paso, Texas for the last year, where her husband was stationed by the U.S Army. Monique was born on November 11, 1986 in Visalia, CA. She attended local elementary schools and graduated from Mt Whitney High School in June, 2004. In 2012 Monique completed the Aesthetician-Esthetician program at the Milan Institute of Cosmetology in Concord.Monique enjoyed spending time with her family and was a wonderful wife, mother, and daughter. She loved the holidays and always made sure her child built joyful and lasting memories with her loved ones. Monique will be remembered for her beautiful selfless heart and her lovely smile. Monique is survived by her loving husband Johnny Martinez, her beautiful daughter Olivia Violet Martinez; her parents Gabriel R. Mendez; Charlie Rodriguez and Hilda Rodriguez; siblings Mathew Rodriguez; Corina Rodriguez and James Mendez. She also leaves behind numerous loving family members and friends who adored her. She will be greatly missed. Services for Monique will be as follows: Rosary on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 6 p.m. at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel located at 127 E Caldwell Avenue, Visalia. Funeral Mass will be held on January 6, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 608 N. Church Street, Visalia, CA 93291 with a burial of ashes following the Mass at Visalia Cemetery located at 1300 W. Goshen Avenue, Visalia, CA 93291 A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Mary's Parish Center, 506 N.
