Monnie McKay Yeargan, 87, of Rockingham, N.C., passed away Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Bolivia.
She was born on June 16, 1926. She was a life-long resident of Rockingham.
She was a local banker for over 40 years and was best known as the senior vice president of the Richmond County Bank. She and her late husband Jessie were founding members of the Hoffman Baptist Church.
She is survived by her Son, John Ray Kime Jr. and wife, Susan of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; grandson, Shaun Christopher Kime and wife, Renee; and great-granddaughters, Elyssa Hope Kime, 4, and Anderson Lynn Kime, 2, of Raleigh.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Eastside Cemetery, U.S. Highway 1 in Rockingham. Dr. Bill Maness will be officiating.
Family and friends are welcome to come by her home after graveside service to celebrate her life.
