STROH — Monte L. Austin, 61, of Stroh died Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at his home. Mr. Austin was a lifetime LaGrange County area resident. He had worked for many years in road construction as a heavy equipment operator for Bunsold Trucking in Fort Wayne. He was born on March 21, 1954, in Kendallville. He married Nada Warble on May 20, 1978 in South Milford. She survives. Also surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Tyrell and Leslie Austin of Stroh and Josh and Heidi Shaffer of Stroh; six grandchildren; and a sister, Patty Courtney of Wolcottville. He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Marceile (Brown) Rowe and Dewey Rowe, and two brothers, Kenneth and Donald Austin. Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 W. Michigan St., LaGrange, with the Rev. Rick Davis officiating.
