Monterie J. OechsnerMonterie J Oechsner passed away peacefully on April 20, 2015 in Yakima, Washington.She was born on June 17, 1926 in Montesano, Washington. She graduated from Central Washington College of Education and taught school at Clover Park School District for 30 years as a Physical Education Teacher and Girls Counselor. She was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church an avid golfer and bowler and loved visiting casinos. Monterie and her husband Frank were active in the Ellensburg Rodeo Posse for many years.She is survived by Mary and Bill Seubert and Meg Seubert of Ellensburg; Trish, Brad and Piper Buswell of Alexndria, VA; Her sisters-in-law Frances Moses of Auburn, WA, Naydene Oechsner of Spokane, WA, and Gloria Oechsner of Chehalis, WA.She was proceded in death by her husband, Frank Oechsner.Memorials may be made to The Foundation at KVH, 603 South Chestnut St, Ellensburg, WA.Graveside services at Holy Cross Cemetery will be held at a later date.Online condolences may be made to the family at www.brooksidefhc.com.
