Morris GoodeSweazy, 80, ofTick Creek Road inSpringfield, passedaway at 10:30 a.m.,Saturday, Oct. 15,2016, at the Villageof Lebanon.A native ofWashington County,he was born on Jan.13, 1936, to the lateBertrand E. andLillian Goode Sweazy.He was a member ofthe Temple Baptist Church,a farmer and a 1953 graduateof Springfield HighSchool. Morris was a formeremployee of GeneralElectric Company, a coownerof the former Dog-N-Suds Restaurant, ownerand operator of the formerSnappy Grill, former managerof New Farmers TobaccoWarehouse, former memberof the National Guard andoperated Sweazy Painting.He was currently serving thecounty as magistrate.Preceding him in deathwas his wife, Pauline CrouchSweazy on June 12, 2015,and a sister, Doris Mae Tappon May 14, 2011.Survivors include, hisdaughter, Shannon Eppersonand her husband, Mike; twosons, Steve Sweazy and MarkSweazy and his wife, Nancy,all of Springfield,four grandchildren,Jonathan Jones,Matthew Sweazy,Amanda Sweazyand Devin Abell,two great-grandchildren,AllisonLyvers and JulietteJones and a sister,Barbara Robertsonof Fairborn, Ohio.Funeral serviceswill be held at 11 a.m.,Wednesday, Oct. 19, atTemple Baptist Church withRev.
