We gather here today to mourn the passing of Morris Powers Sr., also known as the life of the party, the king of dad jokes, and the master of all things awkward. Born on April 1, 1969, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Morris brought laughter and joy wherever he went.
His father, Jonathan Powers, and mother, Sandy Powers, must have known from the start that Morris was destined for greatness. From his early days at Lincoln High School, where he graduated in 1987, to his career as a professional prankster and amateur stand-up comedian, Morris never failed to bring a smile to everyone he met.
His daughter, Michelle Powers, was the light of his life, even when she rolled her eyes at yet another pun-filled joke. And though he may not have been the best role model, he was certainly the most entertaining.
Despite his many quirks and eccentricities, Morris was a man of deep love and loyalty. He may have driven us all a little crazy at times, but we wouldn't have wanted him any other way.
So here's to you, Morris Powers Sr. May you rest in peace, cracking jokes and causing mischief wherever you are. And may your memory bring a smile to our faces for years to come.
