It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Eugene M. Andrews, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Eugene lived a remarkable life and touched the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family and community.
Eugene was born on May, 09, 1955 in Little Rock, Arkansas, to his proud parents, James and Margaret Andrews. From a young age, he showed tremendous determination and a strong work ethic. He attended Little Rock High School, where he excelled both academically and athletically. Eugene's passion for learning and thirst for knowledge led him to pursue higher education at the University of Arkansas, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
After completing his education, Eugene embarked on a successful career in the finance industry. His sharp intellect and ability to connect with people allowed him to excel in his field, earning him numerous accolades and respect from colleagues. Yet, despite his professional achievements, Eugene's greatest joy came from his family.
Eugene married the love of his life, Dana, on June 22,1975. Their marriage was built on a foundation of love, trust, and mutual support, and they were blessed with two beautiful children: Terrell Lamar Andrews Whom Preceded Him In Death. But Left To Cherish An Amazing Son Terrell Lamar Andrews Jr. A Wonderful Daddies Girl To Mourn His Loss Kennetha Lashay Andrews, Her Three Beautiful Young Ladies Alexis, Chelsea, & Kaylan Andrews. And One Very Special Great Grandson Who Eugene Loved More Than Life Sergio Ramon Berkley Jr. Two Awesome Brothers Jacob And Joe Udell, Three Beloved Sisters, Sharita Andrews, Delora Walker( Andrews) & Stephanie Udell. Eugene was a devoted father who put his family first, cherishing every moment spent with them. He was a role model to his children, instilling in them the values of hard work, integrity, and compassion.
Eugene's love extended beyond his immediate family. He was an active member of the Little Rock community and dedicated his time and resources to various charitable organizations. Whether it was volunteering at the local food bank, organizing fundraisers for disadvantaged children, or mentoring young individuals, Eugene always went above and beyond to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
In his leisure time, Eugene enjoyed playing golf, a sport that allowed him to relax and connect with nature. He was also an avid reader, finding solace and inspiration in the pages of books. Eugene possessed a remarkable wit and a deep understanding of the world, making him a captivating conversationalist and a source of wisdom for many.
Eugene Andrews passed away on December 29, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and kindness that will continue to inspire generations. Eugene will be forever remembered for his warm smile, helping hand, and unwavering love, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever treasure their memories with him.
The funeral service to honor Eugene's life will be held on January 06, 2024, at the Superior Funeral Home Chapel in North Little Rock Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Eugene's name to the local food bank or the American Cancer Society, as these causes were near and dear to his heart.
May Eugene Andrews rest in eternal peace, knowing that his life made a significant impact on the world around him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered, as his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
