Mr. Thomas Vonzel Mickens, 72, of Greenville, South Carolina, husband of Gwendolyn Stewart Mickens of forty- two years , passed on Tuesday, November 5th, 2024 at his residence. Born in Perry, Florida , he was the son of the late Thomas Mickens, Sr. and Ivy McCray.

Surviving in addition to his wife; two daughters, Kesha Lewis and Victoria James both of Greenville, SC; four sons, Angelo Mickes of Tampa, FL, Joseph Mickens and Lavoris Mickes both of Greenville, SC, and Damon Henderson of Chesapeake, VA. He was also a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren. Kedacia Lewis, Kimberly Mickens, Darrell Henderson Marie James; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Thomas had a zest for life and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He had a witty sense of humor and could always bring a smile to anyone's face.

Thomas will be remembered for his kindness, his love for his family, and his warm personality. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Private Funeral Services are under the direction of Israel Baptist Church, Greenville,SC. On Saturday, November 16th at 11:00am. Thomas final resting place will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Piedmont Highway, SC for November 16th at 2:00pm.
