Mrs. Mojisola Felicia Atolagbe was born in Egbe Quarters, Oye Ekiti, Oye local government area of Ekiti State to Mr. Abraham and Mrs. Racheal Adelakun, both of blessed memory in 1954. She had her elementary/primary education at St. Theresa’s primary school in Ibadan. She then proceeded to Igede Baptist College in Igede, Ekiti for her secondary school education where she was an athlete. She also proceeded to obtain her Teachers Grade 2 certificate at Offa Teachers College where she graduated on the 2nd of July, 1979 and immediately started a teaching career at Elementary pupils’ level until her retirement as a School Head Mistress. Before this period, she worked at Lagere Post Office in Ile-Ife where she met her husband Moses Oyerinde Adeyemi who was then studying at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. They both got married on the 15th of December, 1979.
After having her four biological children, she further went on to study a National Certificate of Education (NCE) degree at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, where she graduated in1988. She continued with her teaching career as an active member of the National Union of Teachers (NUT) and retired voluntarily on the 31st of December, 2003 as a CEA Grade level 13, step 6 Educationis and started trading in different household commodities.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother. A God lover that was active in church, and served in units like The prayer band, Benevolence service and Nehemiah church care. She visited Jerusalem and followed the path of Mount Sinai and attained the summit (2265m) where Moses in the Bible received the two tablets of the law and ten commandments. Her hobbies were exercising, studying the Bible and taking care of her grandchildren. She was extremely patient, very homely and always looked out for others. She gave help to anyone she knew who needed help. Her hospitality and humility were noteworthy and was what everyone that knew her, commented about the most.
Mummy lived a good life and is survived by her children, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law and grandchildren. She will also be greatly missed by her siblings and extended family. May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace in Jesus' Name. Amen
