GRIFTON | Murry Glenn Ipock, 86, of Grifton, passed away on March 15, 2016, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family. He was born on August 7, 1929, in Craven County N.C. to Ellis and Vellie Ipock. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Preston Ipock; a sister, Irene Ipock; and a brother-in-law, James Wynne. Glenn was retired from the Pitt County ABC Board and served his country for two years in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Woodmen of the World and enjoyed fishing and watching the Tarheels. He was a dedicated North Carolina Tarheel Fan. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Ipock of the home; a daughter, Tammy Ipock Jennette and Vann Jones, of Snow Hill; a granddaughter, Shana Diane Miller and Codey Hill, of Snow Hill; a sister, Inez Wynne of Durham; one great-grandchild, Aiden Glenn Hill who he loved and adored; and many nieces and nephews and three very special caregivers, Lynda Wright, of Chocowinity, Tracey Harris and David Mills, both of Grifton. A graveside aervice will be held on Friday, March 18 at 2:30 p.m. in Evergreen Memorial Estates Mausoleum officiated by the Rev. Becky Sumrell Cain.
