MCMULLEN Myra M. McMullen, 82, passed away at home Wednesday November 23, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born on May 25, 1934 in Gringo, Pennsylvania to Norman C. Miller and Eupha McCoy Miller. Myra was a graduate of Aliquippa High School in Pennsylvania Class of 1951. She graduated from Allegany General Hospital School of Nursing. She received her Bachelors degree from the University of North Florida and her Masters Degree from the University of Pittsburg. She retired from Memorial Hospital Jacksonville as the vice-president of Nursing. She was a member of the Eastern Star, enjoyed playing golf at Blue Cypress Gold Club, loved her cats and created many quilts for family and friends. Myra was predeceased by her parents, and brothers Dennis and Delvin Miller. Survivors include her devoted husband of 61 years, Richard D. McMullen; daughters, Melissa M. Hursay (Billy), Brenda M. Inscoe and Cynthia M. Hausmann (Peter); sons, R. David McMullen (Leah Paladino) and Alan P. McMullen; sisters, Donna Taylor, Abbie Minton, Connie English and Leslie Reiser (Ed); brothers, Glen Miller (Janet) and Alan Miller (Stephanie); 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; several nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 5:00 pm Saturday and Sunday November 26th & 27th at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd. Jacksonville, FL. 32211. Graveside funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday in the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32218. Line up in Lane 2 please.
