Myra Susan TroutLafayette - On Sunday, May 21, 2017, Myra Susan Trout passed away after a long illness. She spent her last time at Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, Louisiana. She was born on June 23, 1950 in Memphis, Tennessee. Myra loved everyone and was a blessing and angel to everyone she met.Myra spent most of her working career as a school teacher specializing in special education for the blind and visually handicapped. She worked for school districts in Louisiana, Colorado, and Texas. Myra also once worked for the Texas Commission for the Blind and the Texas School for the Blind, where she taught multi-handicapped students and adults. She graduated from Rider High School in Wichita Falls, Texas and later from Texas Women University in Denton, Texas with a Bachelor's of Science degree in social work. Myra completed her education earning a double Master's degree in Special Education and Rehabilitation Technology for the University of Northern Colorado in Greely, Colorado.Myra is proceeded in death by her father, Willard Segerson and mother Myrtle Segerson, both of Kerrville, Texas. She is survived by her loving husband, Ric Trout of Lafayette, Louisiana; her two daughters, Heather R. Trout of Fort Worth, Texas, and Tiffany Trout Klinert & Andrew of Sunset, Louisiana, granddaughter, Taylor Maddison Quayle of Lee Summit, Missouri; two sisters, Sylvia Jean Harris of Pensacola, Florida; and Betty Carolyn Zimmer & Bill of Fort Worth.Funeral arrangements will be handled by Chaddick Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana. Visitation will be at the First United Pentecostal Church in DeRidder on Thursday, May 25, from 5-9pm, followed, the next morning, Friday, May 26, by a funeral service at the church at 11am. Burial will be at Beauregard Cemetery. Rev. Zale Lewis will officiate.
