Mrs. Myrna Lou Sommerfield Timreck passed away to be with her Lord on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009. She was 98 years old. She was born on Nov. 11, 1911, the youngest of 10 children, to the Rev. Michael Auburn and Anna Augusta (Schmidt) Sommerfield of Tawas City, Tawas Township, Iosco County. Mrs. Timreck was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Harold A. Timreck, M.D., on Nov. 12, 2001; her beloved only son, Michael Charles Timreck; infant grandson, Charles Anthony, son of Michael and Marlene Stauffer Timreck; her beloved parents; seven sisters; two brothers; and her mother and father-in-law, Charles and Mathilda (Green) Timreck. Surviving her are Pamela Ann (Michael A.) Pietrzyk of Roanoke, Va. She had five grandchildren, Michael S. (Dora Stamper) Pietrzyk of Townsend, Mont., Christopher (Julie Reed) Pietrzyk and Amanda Pietrzyk, both of Roanoke, Va., Paul (Rose O'Brien) Pietrzyk of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Michael Jason Timreck of Gladwin. She also had nine great-grandchildren, Anna Marie and Matthew of Michael and Dora; Hannah, Solana, Emry, Riley, Benson and Adler of Christopher and Julie and Gabriel of Paul and Rose. She was blessed with two wonderful ex-daughters-in-law, Marlene (Stauffer Timreck) Freitag of Webster, Texas, and Tracey (Wilbert) Timreck of Gladwin, with whom she has remained in contact for many years. Also surviving her are her brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Stella Timreck of Jacksonville, Fla.; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Visitation was at Hall Funeral Home, 440 E. Cedar Ave., Gladwin, on Sunday, Dec. 13. Funeral services were held on Monday, Dec. 14, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 331 Clendening Rd., Gladwin. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund, Hospice of Gladwin Area and The Association for the Rescue of Kritters (The ARK).
