Myrna Louise Robins (Wipfli) was born on June 25, 1948 in Prince George, BC the second child to Clifford and Phyllis Wipfli. Myrna was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer in May of last year. At that time she was not expected to make Christmas but anyone who knows Myrna knows she would go when she was good and ready and not a moment sooner. Myrna faced her diagnosis like she did every experience in her life ~ with courage and confidence. Myrna passed away quietly on March 16, 2017 at Points West Living Hospice in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Myrna is predeceased by her son, Myles Darian Robins, her father, Clifford Wipfli, her mother, Phyllis Angeline Wipfli and her brother, William Herbert Wipfli. She will be dearly missed by her daughter Lisa (Roger) and her son Ryan (Tamara) and her beloved grandchildren Chase, Madison and Anjel-May, who she cherished dearly. Myrna is also survived by her brothers John Wipfli and Ken Wipfli and her sister, Lori-Anne Hamm (Jim) as well as nieces and nephews. Myrna's passion was working with high risk kids and thoroughly loved her position as a Youth Care Worker with School District #57 and local group homes. Myrna continued this work until taking early retirement to assist in the care of her grandchildren, Chase and Madison. Myrna thrived in her role as grandmother and became well known as "Grandma Myrna" cruising in her "Granny Van" to many in Prince George, BC and Grande Prairie, AB. Myrna's unique personality and outlook on life made her a jewel to all that crossed her path. Her outrageous behaviour and, at times, twisted sense of humor endeared her to so very, very many. Your work here on earth is complete, Mom, and you are free of your pain and suffering. Enjoy your reunion with Myles and know that you will forever remain in our hearts. At Myrna's request there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society in Myrna's name.
You can to the family or in memory of Myrna Robins.
