Nagesh Gupte began his new journey Dec3rd 2017. Over the past few months he was suffering through his ailment and finally went in peace. He was the eldest in his family of 4 brothers and 2 sisters. He, Sharad, Vijay and Ram, the 4 brothers, along with Shailaja and Shobhana, his sisters, made the Gupte family. His parents were Vitthal and Rukmini Gupte. From what I know through our family conversations is that he was a born rebel and challenged the social norms from a very early age.
He spent most of his adulthood in the U.S. He came to the US around 1967 or so from Pune, India. Post that, most of his journey in US is not completely known as he never talked about it. I think he followed in the belief that, what matters is where I am now. His nephews and nieces, especially ones born after 1967 were introduced to him only in the 1990's. By then we were all growing up and only exposed to him slowly over the years when he finally settled back in India around late 90's.
With this orbituary I am trying to reach out to anyone who knew him and would like to share any pictures or incidents about him. I truly wanted to know about his thought process all those years. I do know his philosophical inclinations would have mixed memories in peoples mind. But please do share them either way. He fondly carried pictures of his friends with him, but I am sorry to not recall their names.
You can to the family or in memory of Nagesh Gupte.
