Nancy C. Brady, 82Winchester - Nancy C. Brady, 82, "Mrs. Brady" went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, March 30th, 2017.She was born on Dec. 20th, 1934 to Hugh and Alvina (Culy) Peters of Modoc, Indiana. She graduated from McKinley High School in 1952 and graduated from Ball State Teachers College in 1956 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics and a Masters in Guidance. Nancy Brady started her teaching career at Saratoga High School where she taught from 1956 to 1959. From 1959 to 1962 Nancy taught at Winchester/White River, and then finished her teaching career from 1962 to 1996 at Driver Junior High/Middle School.Her love of teaching and passion for education touched many generations in the Randolph Central School District. Along with education, Nancy's love of the Lord lead her to great involvement in the churches in which she attended throughout her life. Upon retirement in 1996, she spent many joyful years caring for her grandsons, Jacob and Levi, giving them tender and loving care. She volunteered at Heritage Hall Christian School in Muncie for a number of years, before returning to substitute teach at Deerfield Elementary and Driver Middle School.She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Dale Brady in 2005, as well as her mother and father. She leaves to cherish her only child, Reva Marie Brady-Baldridge (Tom), of Winchester and her two grandsons Jacob and Levi Baldridge of Winchester. She is also survived by her brother Norman Peters (Karen) of Winchester and her sisters Joy Norman of Winchester and Betty Deckard of Richmond, as well as several nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Winchester Friends Church, 124 E. Washington St. Winchester, Indiana with Pastor Kevin Holt officiating. Burial will follow at Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester.Friends and family may call on Monday, April 3, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester and on hour prior to services on Tuesday at the church.Memorial contributions may be made to the Family Consumer Science/Home Economics Dept. at Winchester Community High School in honor of her lifelong career.
