Anderson, Nancy Dysart,83, died on October 25, 2016, after a brief illness. Nancy was born on December 6, 1932, to Paul Lemoyne Dysart and Agnes McWhorter Dysart. She lived most of her life in Louisville, with the exception of the four years at Hanover College in Madison, Indiana, from which she earned her B.A.Nancy spent most of her life raising her children and caring for many other people. She was a wonderful mother and a friend to many. She particularly cherished the friendships she made at Greathouse School and Atherton, where a close-knit group of friends formed lifelong bonds as the "buzzin' dozen." Her talent for friendship was exceptional; she made and kept friends throughout her entire life.Nancy was a wonderful cook, an accomplished gardener, and a life master at bridge. She loved art, literature and music, and taught her children to love them too. She was married to two wonderful men, had four children who adored her, and frequently described herself as the luckiest woman on earth. She was an avid traveler, and visited places all over the world in the company of family and friends. She was very active in her church, Calvary Episcopal, and served on its vestry. She was the life of every party, loved meeting people, and never stopped learning. We will all miss her tremendously.Nancy is survived by her husband, Edward Jacob Schickli, Jr.; her children, Karen Anderson Winn (Kenneth), Eric Dysart Anderson, Lauren Lathram Anderson (Michael Liebson), and Louise Hamill Anderson (Allen Currens); three grandchildren: Alice Anderson Winn, David Dysart Winn, and May Anderson Currens; and a niece, Sally Dysart Leath. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 45 years, Calvin Dudley Anderson and her brother, Richard Dysart. Nancy's sister-in-law, Janet Anderson Graff, and her sons and their families, also survive her.Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Episcopal Church or to the . A memorial service will be held at Calvary on Saturday, Nov. 26, at 2:00 pm.
