Nancy Elizabeth Puffer RACINE — Nancy Puffer, 85, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2015 at Ridgewood Care Center. Nancy was born on November 8, 1929 to William and Florence (nee: Petersen) Higgins in Racine. She was united in marriage to George B. Puffer in 1978. Nancy worked for A & E Manufacturing for many years as a Press Operator. She enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. Nancy also liked gambling for fun. Most importantly Nancy loved her family and cherished every moment she spent with her children and grandchildren. Nancy will be dearly missed by her children, James Bednar, Michael (Annette) McGregor, Susan (Jose) Ibarra, and Julie McGregor; 14 grandchildren, Angela, Danny, Trina, Selina, Jose Jr., Angelica, Marco, Crystal, Michelle, Rory, Jessica, Keen, Kevin, and Joey; 18 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Alice Wolf (Chuck) Daceno. Nancy also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, William and Florence; her husband, George; her son, Jack Bednar; her brother, Clinton Higgins; and her sister, Evelyn Graves. Funeral services for Nancy will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 12:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
