It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nancy Kennison, born on April 20, 1964, in Shreveport, Louisiana, United States, to Kelly Calvin Brown and Bernice Lilly Brown. Nancy passed away on October 28, 2024.

Nancy was the beloved spouse of William Kennison, whom she married in 1988. Together, they raised one child, Donny Hinton.

Nancy was also a loving grandmother.

Nancy attended Maple Valley HS high school, graduating in 1982. She continued her education at Southwest Missouri State University and graduated in 2004. Nancy was dedicated to her career, working as a Volunteer Adult Literacy counselor, CNA, and Homeless Advocate before becoming totally disabled in 2010.

Throughout her life, Nancy was dedicated to serving her community and was actively involved in the Koshkonong VFD organization. Her selfless contributions to society were recognized with 2 Presidential Points of Light Citations.

Aside from her work, Nancy enjoyed hobbies such as music, crochet, camping, and cooking. She brought joy and love to all those around her and will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community.

Unfortunately, Nancy passed away after a severe infection that she fought against for more than 2 months in the hospital. Her loss is felt deeply by all who knew her. Rest in peace, Nancy Kennison.
