NORTH WEBSTER — Nancy L. Howell, 60, of North Webster, Indiana, passed away at 8:05 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015, at IU Goshen Hospital in Goshen, Indiana. She was born on July 27, 1955, in Warsaw, Indiana, to Glen A. & L. Delores "Dee" (Dishman) Vanator. She was a lifetime North Webster/Cromwell area resident and graduated in 1973 from Wawasee High School in Syracuse, Indiana. She was married on Dec. 15, 1990, in North Webster, Indiana, to Thomas D. "Tom" Howell, who preceded her on March 24, 2001. She was employed at West Noble Primary School as a paraprofessional for 20 plus years and worked in the summer months for the Dixie Sternwheeler (Dixie Boat) in North Webster. She formerly worked for Wawasee Community School Corporation at the North Webster Elementary and at North Webster Products for several years. She was a member of the Stone's Hill Community Church in Ligonier, former member of the American Legion Post 253 Auxiliary in North Webster and formerly attended the North Webster Church of God. She is survived by a sister, Janet K. Kiser of North Webster; a brother, Gary L. Vanator of North Webster; a nephew, Zachary Rogers of Leesburg; a brother-in- law, Dave Rogers of Leesburg; her mother-in-law, Mary Lou Howell of Cromwell; sisters-in-law, LuAnn (Gary) Davis of Brownsburg, Indiana, Dixie (Tony) Kreager of Ligonier and Mary (Bob) Wysong of Cromwell. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sister, Denise Rogers; and a brother-in-law, Terry Kiser. Visitation will be from 10–11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015, at Stone's Hill Community Church, 151 W. Stones Hill Road, Ligonier. Memorial services will follow at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the church with Pastor Joey Nelson of the church officiating. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County in Warsaw. Owen Family Funeral Home, North Webster, is in charge of arrangements. Preferred memorials may be given to the Stone's Hill Community Church, 151 W. Stones Hill Road, Ligonier, IN 46767.
