Nancy J ShoemakerCHILLICOTHE: Nancy Jane Shoemaker, 84, of Chillicothe, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Heartland of Chillicothe. Nancy went to be with the Lord and joined the eternal love of her life, Robert E. Shoemaker, who predeceased her. Nancy was born on March 3, 1932, in Menesha, Wisconsin to the late Arnold and Frieda Strehlow Grimm.Surviving are children, Patty (Ron) Dunsieth, of Chillicothe, and Pam (Joe) Neikirk, of Jenison, MI; grandchildren Tessa (Josh) Bell, Anna Rooker, Gretta (Troy) Taylor, Heather Dunsieth, Seth (Leigh) Neikirk, Gabe Neikirk, and Joey Neikirk; great grandchildren, Jack and Finn Rooker, Dexter and Sully Bell, Titan, Grayson and Adelyn Taylor, Alayna and Fiona Parks, and Makenna Neikirk; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Victor and Eldon Grimm, and sisters, Eve Valda and Margaret Babbit.Nancy served in the U.S. Marines and was a member of the Chillicothe Baptist Church. She completed classes for law enforcement at Ohio University-Chillicothe and loved playing Bingo. She was on a bowling team at Shawnee Lanes and on the TV show Bowling for Dollars. Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Chillicothe Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Cline officiating. There will be no calling hours.
