Nancy Swinney, born on July 20, 1959, in Groton, CT, passed away on October 16, 2024, in Pinellas Park, FL. A beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Nancy was known for her warm heart and generous spirit, always offering a helping hand to those in need.
For over 18 years, she worked as a server, dedicating herself to providing excellent service and making connections with her customers. Nancy enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, relishing her favorite foods, including Taco Bell, pizza, and chips with dip. She found joy in watching her beloved soap operas and “The Golden Girls,” and she was a passionate fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Family was at the center of Nancy's world. She was a proud mother to five children—Philip, John, Craig, Donna, and Joan—and cherished her role as a grandmother. Known affectionately as "Nanny Goat," she delighted in spending time with her grandchildren and creating lasting memories with them.
Nancy was married for just over a year until the passing of her husband, John, in July 2020. She is survived by her mother, Clara, her siblings, her five children, and her beloved grandchildren. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to resonate with all who knew her.
