Nancy Nicholson Mangum, 68, of Wilmington passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015.She was born on Christmas Day 1946 in Wilmington, NC to the late James and Ruth Haywood Nicholson of Jacksonville, NC. Nancy is also preceded in death by a grandson George Chesnutt.Nancy is survived by her husband, of 49 years, Billy Mangum; children Marvin Mangum (Liz Hamilton) of Henderson, NV, Tracey Mangum Chesnutt (Warren) of Cedar Point, NC and James Mangum of Biloxi, MS; grandchildren Tripp Chesnutt, Claire Chesnutt and Kelly Mangum; step-grandchildren Jack and Kate Hamilton; Lillian Dawson (Abner) and James Nicholson (Twyla) and three nieces. Nancy graduated from Jacksonville High School class of 1965. She married her high school sweetheart, Billy, that same year. Nancy was an avid tennis player and mahjong enthusiast. She was loved by all and always had a kind word to share about others. But above all, family was Nancy's greatest passion and she will be deeply missed by all those she leaves behind. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel.
