Nancy McBrideMarch 20, 1944 - December 7, 2016Nancy, passed away at the age of 72 after nearly a 2 ½ year battle with cancer on December 7th, 2016 surrounded by her loving family in Tyhee, Idaho.Nancy was born on March 20th, 1944 in Pocatello, ID to Leslie Jo and Delores Edwards Livingston. She attended school in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1962. On August 10th,1962, Nancy was married to Byron Glenn McBride. They were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on May 21st, 1975. Through this partnership they raised five wonderful children: Kelley Glenn, Michael Scott, JoDee Faye, Brett Marshall, and Aaron Clay.Nancy has always been a loving, dedicated mother to her family and a very hard worker. She was a very strong woman who battled many pains in her body due to the nature of her hard work. Nancy was an amazing example to all who knew her. She worked many jobs in her earlier years, but she enjoyed the years she spent working as a teachers aid for the special education program in the Pocatello School District. For over 20 years, she loved and cared for these very special children and they loved her too. Mom had a love of people and developed many wonderful friendships throughout her life. She was a patriotic woman who loved her country and the military men and women who have and do serve our country. Besides her family, she had a great love of her Savior and was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She held many callings throughout her life, but her favorites were working with the children in Primary and the youth at the Idaho Falls Temple during the year her and Dad were called to the Temple Mission.Mom loved bowling in her younger years, 50's music, dancing, and camping with her family. As a family, we spent many years working together at Drag City Raceway where Nancy made many friends, especially when she handed them the timing slips that showed they won their race. She loved to support her grandchildren at their school programs and most of all spending quality time with them. Mom was a great example to all of our children and they will greatly miss Grandma.Mom bravely battled cancer to the end of her mortal life. She joined her 2nd born son Michael Scott in the arms of our Savior along with her parents Leslie and Delores and two brothers Jimmy and Gene. Nancy is survived by her husband of 54 years, son Kelley (Melissa) McBride of Pocatello, daughter-inlaw Rosie Propsom, daughter JoDee (Tom) Kirkman of Pocatello, son Brett (Lisa) McBride of Wellsville, Utah, and son Aaron (Amanda Exley) McBride of Meridian, Idaho.
