Nancy A. Meyers1935 - 2014Nancy A. Meyers, 78, of Kenosha, died on Saturday, June 28, 2014.Nancy was born on Nov. 11, 1935, in Salem, Wis., a daughter of the late Wilhelm and Nellis (Chamberlain) Jacobs. Her family moved to Kenosha three years later and sadly, her mother died of cancer three years after their relocation.She attended local schools and was a 1953 graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School.On Aug. 18, 1956, she was united in marriage to Ronald J. Meyers. Their marriage was blessed on Dec. 3, 1978, by Fr. John Michael Murphy at St. Mary Catholic Church.Nancy was employed with Sears in Pershing Blvd. and then Allstate Insurance Co. until her retirement.She enjoyed knitting, playing cards, traveling, dining out, casinos, and shopping trips, as well as quilt making and scrap booking with her children and grandchildren.Survivors include her children, Deborah (Clifford) Olson, Bruce (Paula) Meyers, and Mary Jensen, Patricia (James) Sexton; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Richard and Phyllis.A combined service of remembrance in loving memory of Nancy and Ron will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home. Private inurnment will take place in St. George Cemetery.
