Nancy Myles 77, of Albany, New York, passed on November 08, 2023. Nancy was born on June 29, 1946. Nancy Smith peacefully passed away November 8th, 2023 at Albany Medical center.

Born June 29, 1946, in Pittsfield, MA to the late Dorothy Gardner, and Richard Gardner. Nancy Myles grew up in Albany, NY and attended the Albany Public School system. She was an only child.

Nancy Graduated from Albany High School. She got married, had two children, and worked for NYS for

many years. She then retired from NYS, and raised her two daughters by herself. She knew the answers to everything anyone needed to know. 

Nancy was very creative; she could make something out of anything. She could sew, and crochet. For many years she marched in a local Drum and Bugle Corp. located in Troy, NY with her two daughters. She traveled to march in Parades and field competitions.

She was a property owner first in Colonie, and then in Albany, and provided a safe home for her grandmother and mother, and now her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Nancy E. Myles “MEMA” was the rock in this family. She is the reason why we are who we are today.

She is survived by her daughters Danielle Smith, and Lisa Faggans, of Albany, NY. Her grandchildren Lissette Ramos, Niquinn & Janessa Grant of Atlanta GA, Amier Grant and Allan Faggans. Her great Grandchildren Mi’Ani Ramos, Kaiden Grant, Shakee Perkins Jr., Mason Faggans, Ma'khi Grant, Meliana Ramos, Kendricks Grant, Hamir Grant, and Allanah Faggans.

Family and Friends are invited to gather for calling hours on Sunday November 12th from 4:00pm - 5:00pm at New Comer Cremation and Funerals located at 343 New Karner Road. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 5:00pm.
