Ward, Nancy S.Nancy S. Ward of Tampa Florida passed away September 21, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.Nancy was born on May 16, 1937 in Lansing, MI to Thomas and Nancy (Linn) Sprott. She attended college at Stephens College and the University of Miami. After college she worked at Jacobsons Department Store in Saginaw, MI. On September 17, 1960 she married the love of her life, David (Fred) Ward. After raising their family Nancy went back to work at SentryWorld in Stevens Point WI where she eventually managed the pro shop. Nancy loved spending time with her family. She was an avid tennis player, golfer and skier and lived a very active life. She loved long walks and spending time at the beach surrounded by her kids, grandchildren and close friends. She was also a devoted volunteer as a member of the Junior League in Saginaw, MI and later in life as co-chair of Rally for the Cure at Rosedale in Bradenton, FL. Nancy moved often due to Fred's career but made lifelong friends in each town they called home. She had such a wonderful sense of humor and a contagious laugh.Nancy is survived by her husband of 57 years, David (Fred) Ward, Tampa, a son, David (Susan) Ward, Tampa, a daughter, Sarah (Brian) Kentopp, Toledo, OH, grandchildren David, Teddy, Will, Cole and Samantha, her brother Tom (Mona) Sprott, Palm Desert, CA, brother in law Robert Rusch of Indian River, MI and several nieces and nephews.
