Wilson, Nancy Sellers Nancy Sellers Wilson was born on Nov. 1, 1942 in Belvidere, IL, the daughter of Willard Neil Sellers and Alwilda Butterfield Sellers. She passed away peacefully on July 2, 2017 at her home in Scottsdale, AZ after an extended period battling Alzheimer's disease. Nancy graduated from Belvidere High School in 1960 and moved with her mother to Tucson, AZ that year, where she enrolled in the U. of A. School of Music. She also went to work as the receptionist for the Campus Police Dep't. It was there where she would meet her future husband, Ronald Wilson, who worked in the same building. They were married in 1963 and managed the Presbyterian Student Center just off campus. They would move to Scottsdale following Ron's graduation in 1968. Nancy got the whole family active in showing dogs and then went on to become the only person from AZ ever to be licensed by the American Kennel Club to Superintend all-breed dog shows. Nancy was a founding member of the Basenji Club of Greater Phoenix, Inc. and a member of the Basenji Club of America Inc., Scottsdale Dog Fanciers Assn. Inc. and the Stewards Club of AZ, Inc. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and two older sisters, Lois Rote (Bob) of Roscoe, IL and Adele McDaniel (Bob) of Godfrey, IL. She is survived by her husband and two daughters, Cheryl Elizabeth Cazier (Mont) of Phoenix, AZ and Susanne Adele Purchase (Jeff) of Black Hawk, SD, along with two grandchildren, Alia and Jacob Purchase and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel at Messinger Mortuary, located at Miller Road & Indian School Road in Scottsdale AZ, on Friday, July 21, 2017, starting at 7:00 pm. A reception will be held in the same facility following the service. In lieu of flowers, her family requests a donation to for the wonderful work they do.
