HUGHESNannie P. Hughes (nee Blankenship) passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Rosedale Green. She was born on June 6, 1922 in Morgan County, KY. Willard Hughes, her husband of 53 years, preceded her in death, as well as, all 12 of her brothers and sisters. She was an inspector for Aeronco Aircraft in Middletown, OH and retired in 1981. She is survived by her daughters, Helen Roberts (Bill) of New Vienna, OH and Marita Huff (Gary) of Independence, KY; as well as grandchildren, Richard Roberts (Sandy) of Aurora, IN, Greg Roberts (Sandy) West Plains, MO, Diana (Roberts) Ballard (Brian) of Orlando, FL, and Tammy (Huff) Peeler (John) of Wilder, KY; 5 great-grandchildren, Abby Hicks (Ross), Maddie and Sydney Roberts of MO and Talon Martin (Hunter) and Derrick Ballard of FL; and one great-great-granddaughter, Olivia Martin and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation for Nannie will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 11AM until the time of the funeral service, 12PM, at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence. Interment will be at Floral Hills Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to Piner Baptist Church, 15044 Madison Pike, Morning View, KY 41063.
