Naomi "Chummy" Jordan of National City passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 96 years of age.She was born on Nov. 30, 1915 to Elmer and Vivian Dedrick.She loved to golf and was an avid hunter. She also enjoyed spending time at casinos.Chummy and Lawrence owned Jordan's General Store for 30 years. She is survived by Gwendolyn (Butch) Freel and George (Arlene) Jordan; sister, Kay Van Wormer; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.Naomi was preceded in death by one son, Ronald; husband, Lawrence; parents, Elmer and Vivian; and three brothers.Visitation for Chummy will be from 3 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 13 at C.L. Forshee & Sons Funeral Homes, Inc., Twining Chapel. She will lie in state from 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 14 at St. James Catholic Church, Whittemore, with funeral mass at 11 a.m. Interment will be in St. James Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to donor's choice.
