Naomi Louise Jones was born in the Bronx NY on January 21, 1944. Her parents were Edward Jones and Artie Cleave. In 1956 when she was around 11 years old she moved with her parents and siblings Marion, James and John, from the big city to Copiague Long Island where she resided till her 20’s.

Naomi was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses circa 1957 and loved talking about the bible. She enjoyed having spiritual conversations with others and would talk about the “last days” (2 Timothy 3:1) and the upcoming beautiful new system of things she learned as a young girl (Revelation 21:1-4). These truths she believed and looked forward to.

Naomi will be remembered for her lively personality and she made an impression on all she met. She liked to keep up with friends and would talk on the phone for hours to those she’s known for many years. She would call herself “Nay-o-my” and you might of received an affectionate nickname from her. She had many friends and neighbors who she was very close to and loved her dearly.

She worked in different professional industries. She received her teaching license and taught special education in the Bronx. Her other professions included Home Health Aide and notably as a Massage Therapist. She would work in various places doing massages, working on babies to the elderly. Many times she would go to her friend’s homes and give them massages. She loved massage therapy, and was a valuable resource to others in this profession. She was into natural herbs and organic foods and would give her advice on what you should eat and take whether you wanted it or not, but all in an effort to make sure you were healthy. She continued to work busily till earlier this year.

In the last few months her health declined and she died on Saturday August 8th at 76 years old. Naomi is someone not easily forgotten and her family looks forward to seeing her again healthy in her God Jehovah’s promised resurrection. (John 5:28, 29) We know she will be happy with all the abundance of healthy foods and trees she can enjoy.

Naomi leaves behind her brothers James and John Jones, sister’s in law Gloria and Barbara and nieces Janene and Courtney. Naomi also leaves to mourn extended family on her mother and father’s side. Also a host of good frends she's known for many years.
