Our Mommy (Natalie Marie Carter) was a cheerleader, she enjoyed learning about computers, she loved writing and telling stories. She was always a good student at Old Richmond Elementary, Northwest Middle School, Charter Academy and volunteer work at Baptist hospital while in school. She loved gardening, growing up she could eat, she loved cooking like her mommy and her maternal grandmother. She was a young mom but eventually learned you can't be mommy and a friend. She quickly changed her life when her grandbaby was born. She was always talking to her mom on the phone. She loved her babies and would do whatever she could to make them happy and proud. She was raised in the catholic church and made her sacraments at Good Shepherd church in King, NC. She was a brownie and a girl scout. She loved music and always found songs to convey her feelings. She lost her Daddy at a young age, so her Mom had to work several jobs to support her and her sister, Candi. People used to think they were twins, so they really could do some tricky things to make people think they were each other. Our Nana knew better and knew what they were up to, most times. Mommy tried to be the best mommy and daughter. Her favorite saying was, love you...later...
After mommy's accident, Nana told her and Candi that goodbye means forever but later means I'll always be here. Then she say, "I love you more". Then she'd reply, "I love you more then a big fat door". Our family is silly like that but that was our way of saying we love you more than life itself and will always ❤ be there for each other. Our heads are spinning. Today, we will say, later momma until we are together again. Love you more than a big fat door. Have fun with Nanny, Tata, pop pop, uncle Sam, all our furbabies, bubbie, and your daddy. Your babies love you. We were not ready for you to leave so soon. So it must be true that only the good die young. You will forever be in our hearts and never forgotten.
Our beautiful angel took her last breathe on this earth and left behind her soldiers. We will forever miss you mommy. It's us against the world, your MIIMII (Miya) your daughter, LaLa (Latianna) your daughter, your Tinky toez (Jorrdan your son), Nevi’Anna your granddaughter. Your laugh made everyone smile. Everyone knows it was your way or no way, you did everything by yourself. You made a way when there was not a way in sight and made it look easy. You are the reason we can keep going today! You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are gray! Please don’t take our sunshine (mommy) away!
Natalie was loved by many not just family. Our beautiful butterfly. Her life was forever changed when her grandchild made her entrance into the world. The love and joy in her heart for her children was unmatched and Nevi'Anna had her wrapped around her finger. We remember mom used to wake up everyday at 6 am in the morning an blast loud music. Her eyebrows and her hair were always on fleek. Her sneaker collection was top tier as well. We’re going to miss your peppered steak and seafood ramen noodles and baked Mac and cheese. Let's not forget the famous sweat tea and Kool-Aid. Waking to your smile gave us the light we needed to get through each day. We will long for the days we used to watch you rock back and forth listening to music. I could just sit here and type a book about you there is not enough words on this planet to describe how you (Natalie) made such and impact on our lives a what a wonderful extravagant, beautiful, outgoing, gorgeous soul you were. GOD did his big one when he gained you! Forever watch over your babies guide them on the right path, give them the strength to go another day without you.
Thank you god for another beautiful day and waking us up
in the name of the Father, Son , Holy spirit Amen!
We love you forever and always! It is us against the world until we meet again my butterfly. Fly, fly away.
