Nathaniel P. Barnett1984 - 2015Nathaniel P. Barnett, 30, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, after a 13 year courageous battle with Leukemia, Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Wauwatosa.He was born on June 2, 1984, to Mark E. and Virginia "Ginger" (Robinson) Barnett in Kenosha. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Bradford High School. He was attending Parkside working on his accounting degree.Nathaniel was a member of Apostolic Faith Church in Pleasant Prairie, where he took care of the visual effects.Nathaniel worked at Wal-Mart for several years, leaving due to his illness.Nathaniel enjoyed reading and was an avid Packer, Brewer and Badger fan. He loved getting together with family and playing board games. His favorite time was Thanksgiving. Nathaniel was a kind-hearted man who never said a bad thing about anyone.Nathaniel is survived by his loving parents Pastor Mark and Ginger Barnett of Kenosha, his brother Timothy (Latrisha) Barnett of Bauxite, Ark, and his sister Bethany (Scott) Schlatterer of Seymour, Ind., his nephews Bradley, Robert and Aaron Barnett and his niece Shiloh Schlatterer. Many aunts, uncles, cousins and his church family also survive him.Waiting eagerly to greet him on the other side were his maternal grandparents Archie and Florence Robinson, paternal grandparents Rev. Willard and Irene Barnett, his friend Lyle Pace who shared his fight with Leukemia, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.Funeral Services for Nathaniel will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 6, at 11 a.m. at Apostolic Faith Church (1021 – 95th St.). Interment will follow at Green Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Apostolic Faith Church (where the family requests you wear your favorite Packer attire) and again on Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials would be appreciated to Apostolic Faith Church to be used for updating the AV media for the church.The family would love to thank the kind, tender caregivers who worked with him the past 13 years. A special thanks to Dr. Ehab Atallah and his entire staff for their compassion to us all as a family and to the Cancer Center's staff for the birthday party they gave him in June and all the ways they honored him.
