Nelda Mae NoeGrand Ledge, formerly of PortlandAge 84, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2017. She was born on July 24, 1932 in Dekalb County, Indiana. Nelda was a Sales Representative for Avon for 46 years. She enjoyed reading, socializing, and was a friend to all. Nelda is preceded in death by her husband, Ray in 2003; daughter, Laura Kabelitz; son-in-law, Steve Cheetham; and brothers, Kenneth (Alice) and Orville (Eleanor) Deetz. She is survived by her children, Janice (Roger) VanWyke of Dimondale, Arlene Noe of Lansing, Keith (Renee) Noe of Mulliken; son-in-law, Paul Kabelitz; four grandsons; six granddaughters; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and sister-in-law, Sharon (Ray) Chenoweth. The Funeral Service will be conducted by Pastor Roy Atherton at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Lehman Funeral Homes, Portland. Interment will follow at Danby Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Friday and one hour prior to the funeral service, Saturday.
