Nellie L. GrantNEWARK: Funeral services will be held for Nellie L. Grant at 1pm on Friday, June 23, 2017 at Brucker Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st street, Newark, OH 43055. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 5-8pm on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at the funeral home. Nellie, age 89, of Newark, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017. She was born on April 18, 1928 to the late Jennings and Mattie (McMann) Walker in Greenbriar County, WV. Nellie graduated from 3B School of Cosmetology. She was an avid bowler, a great cook, and loved spending time with family and friends. Nellie is survived by her children, Michael (Sylvia) Walker, Linda Grant-Hale-Jones, and James (Valerie Harmon) Grant; grandchildren, Michael Walker, Jr, Benny Walker, Heather (William) Walker, Buffy Lynn (Benjamin) Carter, Nicholas (Trudy) Grant, Angela (Josh) Dineheart, and Jonathan (Julie) Walker; 13 great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Jean Walker. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James B.
