Nelly Zelaya Campos
July 19, 1981 – November 14, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nelly Zelaya Campos, age 43, of Essex, Maryland, who left this world on November 14, 2024. Born on July 19, 1981, in San Miguel, El Salvador, Nelly brought the warmth and vibrancy of her homeland wherever she went, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Nelly was a woman of extraordinary faith, a devoted Catholic who praised God every day with unwavering love and gratitude. Her faith guided her through life’s challenges and inspired everyone around her. She was a dedicated mother to her two children, Issacc and Nayeli, and a proud grandmother to five beautiful grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
One of Nelly’s greatest joys was baking—a passion she poured her heart into. Her kitchen was often filled with the comforting aroma of her creations, made with love for her family and friends. She believed in the power of food to bring people together, and her baked goods were as much a testament to her talent as they were to her generous spirit.
Nelly was a happy soul who radiated joy and kindness. Her warm smile could light up any room, and her laughter was contagious. She had an incredible gift for making others feel valued and loved, and her presence brought happiness and peace to everyone she encountered.
She was more than a friend, mother, aunt, and grandmother—she was a pillar of her community and an angel to those in need. Whether offering a helping hand, a kind word, or simply her unwavering support, Nelly’s love knew no boundaries.
Nelly leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and joy that will live on in the hearts of her children, Issacc and Nayeli; her five beloved grandchildren; her extended family; and the countless friends who cherished her. Though our hearts ache with her loss, we find comfort in knowing she is now in the arms of the Lord she so faithfully served.
Rest in peace, Nelly. Your faith, love, and joy will forever guide us, and your memory will be cherished for all eternity.
