Nelson E. Chambers age 69, departed this life on December 2, 2018, in his home. He was born to the late Nelson Ezra Chambers and Mary Nowlin on November 11, 1949. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother the late Eugene J. Chambers. 

He leaves to cherish his memory a special loving companion of 27 years, Geraldine Allen "Dee Dee" 3 children Angela Johnson, Don Chambers, and Rochelle Gibson; 3 step children Chitiana Allen, Yusuf Allen (Haneefah), and Taisha Hawkes 4 sisters, Francis Mildred Roy, Josephine Scott (Jerry), M. Katherine Chambers (Mack) Pamela R. Chambers-Green (Gene), Michele Carroll (Thomas); 2 brothers, William Chambers and Otha Ray Chambers; 7 grandchildren, Derrick Vasquez-Velasquez, Arianna, Shanice, Taylor, Yusuf Jr., Aminah and Aidan; several great gandkids and a host of cousins and friends. 

Nelson was a United States Navy Veteran, who was a reserved person who enjoyed everyones company. He loved shooting pool, listening to music, drawing, and spending time with his family. He was a member of Club Elite, Charmers, Aristocrats, and Helping Hands. Nelson was an Eagles fan and enjoyed going to the Brandywine Zoo in his free time.
