Nemecio Zaragoza1925 - 2013Nemecio Zaragoza, 87, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, at Hospitality Nursing & Rehab.He was born on Oct. 30, 1925, to the late Pedro and Teofila (Chino) Zaragoza in Churumuco, Mich. Mexico. He was educated in Mexico.In 1946, he married Maria Christina Morales. She preceded him in death in 1978.Nemecio was a farmer.Nemecio was a member of Iglesia Bautista El Calvario.Nemecio enjoyed cowboy movies, especially John Wayne, history and reading and loved riding his bike around town. He was a politician in Mexico, bring electricity, telephone and other services to his hometown.Nemecio is survived by his children, Juan Manuel (Virginia R. Morales) Zaragoza of Long Beach, Calif., Maria Bertha (Gilberto) Verastegui of Nekoosa, Wis., Jesus Vargas of California, Bulmaro (Fedelina) Zaragoza of California, Amalia Azucena (Elias) Garcia of Kenosha and David Gustavo (Concepcion) Zaragoza of Oregon; his 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and a brother, Eduardo Rodriguez of Mexico.He is preceded in death by a brother Zenaido Romero and a sister Amalia Zaragoza.Funeral Services for Nemecio will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 14, at 11 a.m. at Straitway Ministries (9220 26th Ave.). Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery.
