Our loving mother Nicomedes "Irene" Betancourt Williams went to be with our Lord, Friday, July 7, 2017. She was born on September 15, 1920 in San Lorenzo, Chihuahua, Mexico. She was a long-time resident of El Paso Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur E. Williams, and her beloved son Robert E. Williams. She is survived by her daughters Lola Olmstead (Bryan), and Mary L. Williams; sons Javier B., Arthur A. (Rosana) and Gene H. Williams; 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She had a passion for cooking especially for family. She loved to travel, took walks on the beach, had a talent for arts and crafts, and enjoyed spending holidays with family. She was very quick witted and always lit up the room with her contagious laughter. She was loved and adored by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 9:00pm with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00pm on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Homes- East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will begin at 9:30am on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, 8600 Winchester. Committal Service will follow at 11:00am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
