GARRETT — Nikki J. Bowman, 66, of Garrett died Monday, December 22, 2014 at her home. She worked in accounting at Cooper Standard in Auburn for 15 years, retiring in 2011. She was a member of New Life House of Worship in Garrett. She was born on June 7, 1948 in Hartford City, IN to Bee and Melba J. (Jones) Houston. They preceded her in death. She is survived by: a daughter, Lisa Riecke of Garrett; a son, Max Gregory Jr. of Garrett; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and a brother, Benny Houston of Markle, IN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: two brothers, Dale Houston and Lee Houston; and a sister, Rebecca Houston. Funeral service will be at 12 noon Friday, December 26, 2014 at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, with Pastor J.C. Banks Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Creek Cemetery, Garrett. Calling will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials are to the New Life House of Worship, Garrett.
