FREMONT — Nina L. Fulton, age 88, of Fremont, Indiana, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2016, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born on April 25, 1927, in Manatee, Florida, to Samuel H. and Lula M. (Loggins) Whitcomb. They preceded her in death. She graduated from Coldwater High School. Nina married Victor Lee Fulton in Bristol, Indiana, on July 30, 1947. He preceded her in death on April 28, 1999. Nina worked in the cafeteria for the Fremont Public Schools for 27 years, retiring in 1988. She was a member of the Fremont United Methodist Church. She was a former member of the Fremont American Legion Auxiliary, the Stitch and Chat Club, and the Steuben County Merry Makers Club. She enjoyed baking and cooking, and playing pinochle at Brockville Commons. Survivors include two sons, Roger (Linda) Fulton of Fremont, Indiana, and Dennis (Lori) Fulton of Fremont, Indiana; a daughter, Denise (Chuck) Newbauer of Fremont, Indiana; five grandchildren, Nichole Fulton of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Michael Fulton of Angola, Indiana, Ryan (Samantha) Fulton of Pleasant Lake, Indiana, Tiffani (Charles) Shattuck of Summerville, South Carolina, and Lindsay (Andrew) Dahman of Roanoke, Indiana; 10 great-grandchildren, Jaylen and Jayden Barnfield, Payton and Gracie Fulton, Collin and Madalynn Fulton, Charlie and Logan Shattuck, and Alayna and Parker Dahman; and a brother, Thomas (Martha) Whitcomb of Greenville, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Auralee and Edward Mesetagh; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Norma Whitcomb; and a sister-in-law, Tina Whitcomb. Visitation hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2016, at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2016, at Beams Funeral Home, with the Rev. Darin Hendrey officiating. Burial will follow services at Lakeside Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana.
