Nora Scott, 87 of Yuma, AZ died June 18, 2012. She was a beloved and devoted Mother, loving Grandmother, Great Grandmother & caring Sister. She lived life with charm and grace. Her family and friends were very important to her. She was a beautiful woman with a kind and gentle soul that will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. Nora was born on May 24th 1925 in Franklin, Kentucky, the oldest daughter of Henry and Ada McGee. Nora moved to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1944 to work for the War effort. She married Adrian Scott, had two sons, then lost Adrian to a car accident in 1964. She remarried in the late 60's and moved to Phoenix, then Yuma in the late summer of 1969. She was active in the Newcomers Club, enjoyed reading, boating, fishing, & bowling. She was happiest with her friends & family. Nora worked for United Van lines till her retirement, then spent quite a bit of time traveling with some of her sisters.Nora is survived by her son Jeffrey L. Scott of Yuma, AZ, Grandson Tyrel A. Scott of Bend, OR, Granddaughter Melissa M. Black of Henderson, NV. Her sisters Cora Johnson, of Lenoir, NC, Rebecca Fain of Southside, TN, and Billie Gilligan of Indianapolis, IN. She was a much loved Aunt to many nieces & nephews and was a Great Grand Mother of four.Nora was preceded in death by her son Ronald Scott, Husband Adrian Scott and her siblings, Charles, Lila, & Silvia Jo.Nora was interred at Washington Park East Cemetery next to her Husband Adrian in Indianapolis after a service at 11:00 Thursday June 28th, 2012.
