Nora V. PennewellFruitland-Nora Virginia Pennewell, 89, of Fruitland, passed away Monday, December 05, 2016 at PRMC.Nora was born on April 27, 1927 in Deal Island to the late Clifford and Lydia Webster Kirwan. She worked for the Wicomico County Board of Education as a bus aide for special needs children. Nora was a lifetime member of The Women of Red Men's Tony Tank Tribe #149 - Degree of Pocahontas. She was an avid reader, loved country music and her collection of angels and won several local awards for her delicious recipes. Nora is survived by her daughter, Kathy Pusey and her husband Leroy with whom she made her home, grandchildren Lisa Pusey(Marc Smullen), Tammy Moore (Mike Hurley), Heather Lloyd (Bryan), great grandchildren, Blair Smullen, Megan Chandler, G.A. Moore, Mallory Lloyd, Zoe Lloyd, and Dawson Jones. She also has a great -great grandson, Trysten Smiley as well as several nieces and nephews. Nora also leaves behind a very special friend, Mary Collins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy J. Pennewell (1996) and siblings, Nellie Bussey, Deborah Haske, Cathryn Williams, Lorraine Hall, Thomas Kirwan, Ada Mae Hastings, and Gertrude Taylor. A funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 2 P.M. at Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne, Md. where friends may call 1 hour prior to the service.
