Norita C. MoriesCARDINGTON: Norita C. Mories, age 79, of Cardington, died Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at the Marion General Hospital. She was born on January 29, 1937 in Marion, Ohio to the late Paul and Adah (Click) Fricke.Norita was a 1955 graduate of Cardington Lincoln High School and went on to work as a self-taught draftsman for HPM for many years. In her later years she kept busy by cleaning the post office after hours.Norita was a member of the Jenkins Vaughn Unit Post #97 Auxiliary. She also was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran church in Cardington. Norita was an avid sportsman and played many different sports through the years. She enjoyed traveling the country and was afforded that opportunity as she followed her husband Chuck to many different Military bases during his time in the Army. Norita also had a passion for horses and loved to ride.On June 12, 1958 in Marion, Norita married Charles Thomas Mories and he preceded her in death on October 31, 1994.Norita is survived by two children: daughter, Carol (William) Brannon of Cardington and son, Stan (Valerie) Mories of Cardington; three sisters: Evelyn Long, Joanne (Bob) Mathews, and Marlene (Ken) Heimlich all of Cardington; four grandchildren Jackie Lancaster, Jacob (Jordyn) Mories, Cade Brannon and Sage Brannon; and two great-grandchildren, Abram and Hudsyn.Friends may call on Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 Center Street in Cardington. The funeral service will be held Friday, December 16, 2016 at the funeral home at 10:00 am with Pastor Steve Dennis officiating.
