Norma Florine Bonn1922 - 2014 Norma Florine Bonn, 91, formerly of Kenosha, late of Oxford, N.C., passed away peacefully, Thursday, Nov. 27, 2014, at the Granville House in Oxford. She was born on Dec. 20, 1922, to the late August and Gladys (Grassfield) Rittmer in Mechanicsville, Iowa. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Kenosha High School. On April 26, 1941, she married Leo G. Bonn at the First Presbyterian Church. Norma and Leo went to live in Oxford, N.C., in 1997 to be close to their daughter. He preceded her in death on May 9, 2005. Norma was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Oxford Presbyterian Church. Norma's goal was reading through her bible every year. Norma volunteered with the Shalom Soup Kitchen for many years. Norma will be remembered for her cake decorating. In March of 1988, Norma received the older working employees award from Shopko where she retired. Norma is survived by her loving daughter Caryn (Ernest) Pierce of Oxford, N.C.; her seven grandchildren; her 14 great grandchildren; and her one great-great grandchild. Her two sons, Leo Bonn, Jr. and Paul Bonn, and her sister Lola Callan, precede her in death. Funeral Services for Norma will be held on Friday, Dec. 5, at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church (1803 – 83rd St.). Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday from 12 p.m. (Noon) until the time of service at the church.
