Norma Claire Henry RACINE – Norma Claire (nee: Elsner) Henry, 85, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Oak Ridge Care Center in Union Grove. She was born on August 11, 1929 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Clarence and Mildred (nee: Arf) Elsner. Norma’s family moved to Racine when she was an infant. Norma was united in marriage to Ralph W. Henry, Sr. on October 6, 1951 at St. Rose Catholic Church in Racine. He preceded her in death on April 12, 2004. She had been a longtime member of St. Lucy’s Catholic Church. Norma loved reading, doing crafts and playing cards with friends. She also enjoyed camping. Norma was a housewife and mother to three children, Jane Henry of Racine, William Henry of Elcho and Ralph Henry, Jr. of Monroe; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Lucy’s Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Ave. on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Fr. Mark Jones officiating. She will be laid to rest at West Lawn Memorial Park. There will be a visitation at the church on Monday before services from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. A special thank you to the staff at Oak Ridge Care Center and Vitas Hospice for their compassionate care given to Norma.
