Norma Jane YoungLANCASTER: Norma Jane Young, 88, of Lancaster passed away on Tuesday January 17, 2017 at Heartland of Fairfield, Pleasantville after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born on November 9, 1928 in Reading, OH to the late Richard and Florence (Tegeder) Grein. Jane retired from the Lancaster City Utilities Department. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Jane will be remembered for how she cherished spending time with her family and caring for her flower gardens.Jane is survived by her son Tom (Linda) Young; grandchildren: Spenser Young and Skyler (Michaela) Young; great grandson Chandler Young; brother Dick Grein; sister-in-law Rita (Bill) Cattran; many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas F. Young; brother Ray (Eileen) Grein; sister Mary (Jim) Perry, and sister Marty (John) Mallon,A Funeral Liturgy will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday January 21, 2017 at the Sheridan Funeral Home with Fr. Craig Eilerman officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday January 20, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
