Norma Weaver, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025 in Harrisburg, North Carolina at the age of 87.

Norma was born on April 24, 1937 to Harvey and Altha Hettle. She married Max Weaver, in 1966 and together they raised two wonderful children, Michael (spouse Marsha) and Suzanne (spouse Gaylen).

After graduating from Highline High School in 1955, Norma began her career at Boeing Company where she worked until her retirement in 1970. She was Executive Secretary to the Chief Engineer of S1-C, the first stage of the Saturn V rocket that successfully landed the first men on the Moon in 1969.

Norma enjoyed volunteering at her local church, the Oro Valley Hospital, and a women’s pregnancy support center. She also found joy in sending care packages to American troops deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

In 1995, Norma and Max retired, sold their home, bought an RV, and traveled across the United States, exploring new places and making lasting memories together.

Norma will be remembered for her kind heart, her adventurous spirit, and her love for her family. She is survived by her, children, four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, please contribute to Family First Pregnancy Care Center, 1575 W. American Ave, Oracle, AZ 85623.

We will remember the fun we had with her at the Exchange when Marsha would bring her to work. Also Christmas Eve dinners after church. She was always smiling and lots of energy. Jolene & George
