Norma A. Knutter1933 - 2014Norma A. Knutter, 81, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Aurora Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.Norma was born on Jan. 4, 1933, in Kenosha to the late Ralph and Mary (Johnson) Hartnell. Norma graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1950. She was a former member of the Pleasant Prairie Fire Department Auxiliary, and St. Lukes Womens Circle and Alta Guild. She was a devoted member of St. Lukes Evangelical Lutheran Church since the age of 16.She married Robert J. Knutter on May 19, 1951, at St. Lukes Evangelical Lutheran Church. Robert preceded her in death on Aug. 14, 2004.Norma was Secretary to Mrs. C.J. Roberts for 18 years and then was employed by H&R Block for 11 years.During retirement she volunteered at Hospitality Manor and St. Lukes Evangelical Church in Kenosha. Norma loved to read, knit and crochet, cook and bake, and spend time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed.Norma is survived by her four sons Robert (Cheryl) Knutter of Kenosha, Charles Knutter of Pleasant Prairie, Mark Knutter of Burlington and Jeffrey (Donna) Knutter of Pleasant Prairie; six grandchildren, Dana Prouty, Tiffany (Joshua) Klemp, Jamie (Anthony) Gritz, Shaun Knutter, Nicole (Frank) Bosco and Ashley Knutter, four great grandchildren,, Shelbi Prouty, Sydney Prouty, Tylor Brandt and Hailey Leach; her sister, Patricia Williams and a sister-in-law, Beth (Kent) Bahr.She is preceded in death by her sisters Maryland Hirchert and Fern Scheuneman, brother John Hartnell and her grandson Alexander Knutter.Funeral Services for Norma will be held on Thursday, May 22, at 11 a.m. at St. Lukes Evangelical Lutheran Church (6700 30th Ave.). Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home. Visitation will also be held on Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated to St. Lukes Evangelical Lutheran Church.
